MJV returns to Alaska magazine with profile of photographer

HEALDSBURG, Calif. - Matt Villano has returned to the pages of Alaska magazine with a feature about whale photographer, Flip Nicklin.
The story, titled, "Whale Ambassador," is the cover story of the July/August 2008 issue.
In the piece, Villano focuses on the life and times of Flip Nicklin, a former National Geographic photographer who specialized in photographing whales.
The story chronicles Nicklin's experiences shooting whales. It also looks ahead to his next role, as self-proclaimed "whale ambassador" to the world.
Villano researched the story over the better part of two years, spending two different whale seasons with Nicklin in Alaska.
